TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Soluxe.

Approval of a quote, booking confirmation, or commencement of work constitutes acceptance of these terms.

1. Scope of Work

Soluxe provides the following services only:

Solar panel bird proofing (solar mesh installation)

Solar panel cleaning

Gutter cleaning

Soluxe does not provide roof cleaning or any roof restoration services. Our scope is strictly limited to the three services listed above.

Bird proofing services include:

Installation of UV-stable stainless steel mesh to the accessible perimeter of solar panel arrays

Securing visible entry points beneath solar panels

Removal of any nesting material found beneath solar panels prior to mesh installation

Unless specifically agreed in writing, services do NOT include:

Removal or lifting of solar panels

Electrical disconnection or modification

Repair of roof tiles, ridge capping, or roof sheets

Gutter repairs or replacement

Structural roof repairs

Replacement of damaged solar panels

Roof cleaning of any kind

Any additional works outside the quoted scope will require written approval and may incur additional charges.

2. Roof & Gutter Condition Disclaimer

The Client acknowledges that roof tiles, ridge capping, gutters, flashings, and related roofing materials may become brittle, fragile, corroded, or weakened over time due to age, weather exposure, installation methods, or prior repairs.

While Soluxe will take all reasonable care during access and installation, Soluxe is not responsible for:

Cracked or broken roof tiles

Dislodged ridge capping

Damaged, bent, or weakened gutters

Pre-existing roof damage

Hidden structural weaknesses

Deteriorated roofing materials

If damage occurs due to pre-existing brittleness, corrosion, or structural weakness, repairs remain the responsibility of the property owner.

If damage is proven to be directly caused by negligence, liability is limited to the reasonable repair cost of the affected area only.

3. Solar Panel & Electrical Disclaimer

Soluxe does not remove, disconnect, modify, or interfere with solar panel wiring, inverters, or electrical systems.

Soluxe is not responsible for:

Pre-existing cracks, microfractures, or defects in solar panels

Reduced solar output or performance

Electrical faults or inverter issues

Damage caused by prior installation defects

Undisclosed panel weaknesses

The Client acknowledges that solar panels may contain hidden defects not visible prior to work commencing.

Liability, if established due to negligence, is limited to the value of the service provided.

4. Working at Heights

Services involve roof access and working at heights. Soluxe conducts work in accordance with applicable Workplace Health & Safety requirements and uses appropriate safety procedures.

Work may be postponed or declined if conditions are deemed unsafe, including but not limited to:

Wet or slippery roofing

Excessive wind

Structurally unstable roofing

5. Access Requirements

The Client must ensure:

Safe and clear access to the property

Clear driveway or access for ladders and equipment

Pets secured prior to arrival

Safe working space free of hazards

Failure to provide safe access may result in rescheduling. A call-out fee may apply where Soluxe attends and is unable to proceed due to access issues.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Ownership of installed materials remains with Soluxe until full payment is received.

Late payments may incur administrative or recovery fees where permitted by law.

7. Deposits

For bookings scheduled within 14 days of the booking date, no deposit is required — payment is due upon completion.

For bookings scheduled more than 14 days from the booking date, a 25% deposit is required to secure the appointment. Soluxe will issue payment details upon booking confirmation. The booking is not considered secured until the deposit is received.

Deposits are non-refundable where the Client cancels with less than 48 hours' notice (see Section 9 — Cancellations). Where a job proceeds, the deposit is credited against the total job cost.

8. Warranty

Soluxe provides a 10 year workmanship warranty covering installation defects relating to mesh installation only.

This warranty does NOT cover:

Pre-existing roof conditions

Storm or extreme weather damage

Structural movement

Bird activity in areas outside treated zones

Solar panel performance issues

Electrical faults

9. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations or reschedules with more than 48 hours' notice — no charge.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice — any deposit paid is forfeited.

No-shows on the day of service — the full quoted price may be invoiced.

10. Weather Delays

Work may be rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions. Safety takes priority over scheduling. No cancellation fees apply where Soluxe initiates a reschedule due to weather.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soluxe's liability is limited to:

The repair of defective workmanship; or

The value of the services provided.

Soluxe is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

12. Acceptance

Approval of a quote, payment of a deposit (if applicable), or commencement of work constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
